Terms of purchase

These terms apply when you buy a Breeding Journal subscription here on breedingjournal.com. By completing the purchase you accept the terms. Please keep a copy.

If you buy the subscription in the App Store or Google Play instead, Apple’s or Google’s terms for payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds apply. Sections 9–13 apply wherever you bought.

1. Seller

Breeding Journal is provided by Calobre AB, Swedish reg. no. 559381-6258, Dalby Dalen, 641 98 Björkvik, Sweden.

2. The service

Breeding Journal is an app for dog breeders for iOS and Android. The Basic level is free. A subscription (Basic, Bronze, Silver or Gold) gives access to more features and more breeding dogs as described on the website at the time of purchase. You need an account in the app and must be at least 18 years old to buy.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in Swedish kronor (SEK) including VAT. The total price is shown at checkout before you pay. You pay by card through our payment provider Stripe. We never receive your full card details. Your bank statement may show “Breeding Journal” or “Calobre AB”.

Discount codes, for example from your breed club or a partner, are entered at checkout. A code applies on the terms shown for it, and only one code can be used per purchase.

4. Subscription and renewal

You choose a monthly or an annual subscription. It starts as soon as the payment is complete and renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. The same card is charged at each renewal. Before an annual subscription renews we send you a reminder by email.

If we change the price we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to your subscription. You can always cancel before then.

5. Changing level and cancelling

You change level or cancel yourself in the customer portal – reached from the buy page or the link in your receipt – or by emailing us.

  • A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then.
  • After that the account returns to the free Basic level. Your data is kept.
  • If you upgrade in the middle of a period, the difference is charged in proportion to the time left.

Started periods are not refunded, except under section 7 (right of withdrawal) or mandatory law.

6. Receipts and confirmation

A receipt is emailed to you automatically by our payment provider Stripe for every payment. Receipts are also available in the customer portal. Make sure your email address is correct – all communication about the subscription is by email.

If you buy in the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google sends the confirmation and receipt to the email address of your Apple or Google account.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). The period starts on the day you buy the subscription.

The service is digital and you can start using it straight away. At checkout we therefore ask you to agree that the subscription starts immediately. If you withdraw within 14 days we refund the amount, minus the time you have had access to the service (in proportion to the whole period).

To withdraw, email us at info@breedingjournal.com within 14 days of the purchase with your name and the email address you use in the app. You may also use the standard EU withdrawal form. We refund to the same card no later than 14 days after receiving your message.

The right of withdrawal applies when you take out the subscription, not when an existing subscription renews automatically. You can always cancel before the next period under section 5.

8. Breed club and partner offers

Offers through breed clubs and partners apply while they are shown on the website or on the terms stated for the code. We may end an offer for new purchases; periods already paid for are not affected.

9. Your account and your data

You are responsible for the information you enter in the app and for having the right to store information about other people, such as puppy buyers’ contact details. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. To delete your account, contact us.

10. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running without interruption but cannot guarantee it, for example during maintenance or faults at our suppliers. We are not liable for indirect damage, and our liability is limited to what you have paid for the service in the last 12 months. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer law.

11. Complaints and disputes

If something is wrong, contact us as soon as possible and we will try to solve it with you. If we cannot agree, consumers resident in Sweden can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, www.arn.se. We follow ARN’s recommendations. Swedish law applies, without limiting the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance about material changes that affect an active subscription. The latest version is always on this page.
